About Phong Nha Cave |

The complex of Phong Nha – Ke Bang is 50km from nothwest of Dong Hoi city – Quang
Binh province. This complex is a part of the area of the lkdest limestone mountains
in Asia, whic h were taken shape 400 millions years ago. The beautiful grotto of
Phong Nha is a part of World Natural Heritage Site. It has a depth of 13,000 meters
with 14 large caves which are from 10 to 40 meters high. At the entrances are stalactiles
that look like huge teeth. Deep inside the caves are stalactiles and stalagmites
in various unusual shapes.
How to get here: Dong Hoi city is 94km from Dong Ha town, 166km
from city and 490km from Hanoi capital. |

Phong Nha Sightseeings |

TIEN SON GROTTO: It is known as Dry Grotto or Upper Phong Nha.
Climbing to steps, visitors reach the entrance of Tien Son Grotto. Deep 1,000m inside
the mountain, the grotto is look like a stone castle. Its vault is high and well-venrilated,
and has white veins that seem to be gilded with silver and gold. |
